Hand-Blown English Antique Glass Decanter c1860

An English hand-blown and cut glass spirit decanter dating to c1860, this piece embodies the elegance and craftsmanship of mid-19th-century glassmaking—functional yet highly decorative, equally suited as a collectible or as a timeless accent in barware displays. 

The overall form is elegantly vertical and tapering, with the body forming a teardrop-to-conical shape. The sides have cross-hatched diamond cuts and starburst motifs, as does the geometric cylinder stopper. Its top and base both feature radiating starburst cuts, adding symmetry and brilliance.The strong facets and symmetry give it a bold, architectural quality typical of late 19th to early 20th-century cut glass.
 

Minor surface marks and occasional air bubbles are present, consistent with the authentic character of 19th-century glass.
