French Confit Pot Glazed Terracotta

A vintage French terracotta confit pot, traditionally used in the 19th to early 20th century for preserving foods like duck or goose in fat before refrigeration, with a classic confit shape: generously rounded body with a narrow foot, flared rim, and two opposing loop handles. The upper half of the pot is coated in a glossy glaze, while the lower portion remains unglazed, showing the raw clay surface, highlighting its functional origins and giving it strong decorative appeal.
